Meet Matt

About

Growing up, Matt engaged in various sports and outdoor activities, though he never stayed with any for more than a few years. In 2002, a friend excitedly encouraged Matt to join a Proactive class. Although he initially felt anxious about the idea of 'having to fight,' he decided to give it a try to learn how to protect himself and boost his confidence.

Matt soon discovered that martial arts were far more enriching than he had imagined. Thanks to his friend's enthusiasm, he embraced the experience. Nearly 20 years later, both he and his friend are still training, now teaching their own students, and enjoying a lifelong journey of learning and growth.

Payment for your personal training lesson is required at the time of booking; payment can be made by cash or Eftpos at our Riccarton Branch. If the booking is not made in person, i.e. by text, email etc, or it is an ongoing regular booking then full payment will be required prior to the lesson commencing, this can be done by paying the amount directly into our bank account or over the counter before the lesson commences. Should you cancel your lesson, the following conditions shall apply with more than 24 hours notice - no cancellation fee will apply and your pre-paid lesson fee will be applied as a credit towards your next lesson. With less than 24 hours notice, but more than 2 hours notice, 75% of the pre-paid lesson fee will be credited towards your next lesson; the balance will be retained as a cancellation fee. Within 2 hours of your booking time, the full pre-paid lesson fee will be retained as a cancellation fee. If you are booking and paying for two or more lessons, the above mentioned terms apply on a lesson-by-lesson basis. Declaration: I acknowledge that Proactive Martial Arts Limited and its associated Franchisees, instructors and students shall not be liable in respect of or in relation to any claim relating to physical injury or damage to personal property of the named student on this form while participating in personal training lessons.
