Timaru on 25-27th June 2010
Let me know if you’re interested in this seminar. We have Black Belts from Australia coming over for it and I am working on some Goju-Ryu Katas to up skill for the seminar. I am also looking at having some Saturday afternoon classes as well.
Thank you to Kyoshi Ben and those that organised and supported the defensive tactics and edged weapon seminar on Saturday. Full of fantastic and practical information for self-defence in today’s society. Also to Kerry and Mick who also came over and helped out.
Must also say a big thankyou to Mick again who has just returned from the Jundokan in Okinawa last week and up skilled us on some Goju-Ryu bunkai. We will be looking forward to a return visit in the future.
As you might have noticed this week we are changing the lay out of the entrance to the Riccarton club. This will provide a larger more organized area for our club shop so we can provide a better service with gear. We are also expanding both changing rooms and adding in more showers. Thank for your patience as this proceeds as there might be a little inconvenience for a couple of the day classes. When finished we should have enough room for up to 50 students to use the rooms at once.

2010 celebrates the 40th year of Zen Do Kai in Australia. This huge event is on the 21st August with National gradings taking place at the Melbourne Sports and Aquatic Centre, Albert Lake – VICTORIA.
From there that night we will then move to the Docklands with 1,000 members in attendance to continue to share this momentous occasion together. There will be students old and new, celebrities who have trained in the system, as well as clubs from all over Australia and New Zealand. There are only a few tickets left so if you are thinking you would like to go let your club head know by the 12th February. Proactive will also have higher rank students grading on this day so come and support. We already have over a dozen students attending.
