Starting this week Wednesday & Friday we now have youth kickboxing. (8 – 11 years). Times are 3:45pm till 4:30pm at Riccarton
With the first week of the school holidays we have decided to make the Youth Kickboxing class FREE. Also you may bring a friend if you like as well, also for free but they must have a guardian to sign their consent form.
Matt has organised a flyer run and BBQ on Sunday 28th September at the Cashmere Club. Start time is 11am. It will be postponed to the following Sunday if raining.
Due to the very limited amount of tickets each club has an allocation to be sold each night starting from next week 29 September. You must pay on the night for the ticket and only one ticket per student. Sorry we have had to do this as we can only fit 400 in the hall.
Geoff Aitken at the Academy of combat hosted a Rigan Machado seminar on Friday night to which a group of Proactive Student attended. It was a fantastic opportunity to train with such an amazing coach and all that attended were in awe at the skill level. Everybody learnt some fantastic new skills and we look forward to using them next week in training.
I have not had time to get the news up this week with so much on, so in a nutshell.
We had the first meeting on Thursday night for the end of year Proactive Xmas party. It will be on Saturday 13th December with doors opening at 7pm awards at 8pm. It will be fancy dress as normal with even more surprises than last year. More details will be out in 2 weeks ![]()
Fight night tickets will be out on the 29th of September and will need to be bought from your club. We also have some surprise entertainment on the night as well as the fights.
Remember Boxing skills and fight skills start this coming week at Riccarton as well.
We are working on some exciting developments for Proactive at the moment, which I will be able to announce in the next few weeks once things are finalized
I am surprised by the turn out for the first weapons class with so many on the floor. We will look at introducing another weapons class if it gets any bigger for safety reasons and students will need to book which class they choose to do to keep numbers manageable.
We have our first fight night on Saturday 18th of October at Riccarton. Anyone 18 or under must be accompanied by an Adult. It will be ticket sales only and no door tickets. Tickets will be evenly distributed between the four clubs. We have 10 fights on the card and entertainment. Sponsors tables look to have now sold out. Tickets will be available around the 18 September but will be limited to how many one person can buy due to limited seats. If you missed out on fighting at this show you have now moved to the top of the list for the next show. We will be having our next one when we get back from Thailand in January.
Black belt classes will now be at 9am every Saturday morning at Riccarton.
