Well done to everybody who graded today in the Panthers grading. The pressure was on from the start with a level one black belt test.
It was also the last time we have white to yellow in a main grading. From now on all white to yellow gradings will be completed at local club level. This will help keep numbers under control at main gradings.

Those students that are interested in going to Thailand this coming January 09 need to get hold of Anna this week. We have managed to get hold of very cheap airfares so will have them all booked by the end of next week. Also please let me know if you are wanting to fight while you are there so we can make sure you have correct insurance and get your training plan down. It looks like we might have two groups going over as well as some of us are going over early to get some extra training in and for new years eve. :)

Panthers grading is this Sunday 29th June starting at 10:00am. Doors open at 9:30am.

What a fantastic grading yesterday. The standard over all was very high and the day ran so smooth. I had numerous comments from students and the public about how well everything was organised. I believe we have got the organising of the grading down to an art itself. Well-done guys involved. I must say a big thank you to the four Sensei Mike / Allister / Anna / Kim who just took control when needed. Well done.

The other thing that I really noticed was the mingling and friendship between students from different clubs. One thing that I have been trying to work on is comradeship between clubs and I believe we are there with students supporting other students from other clubs great to see guys. At the end of the day we are all part of the Proactive family know matter what club we train at.

Well done to the four new 2nd Dans

They gave it all they had, which is what it is all about. Great effort guys.
You have set a pace for the three new Nidan Ho’s to aim for at the Xmas grading.

We will be introducing specific rank classes between now and the end of the year grading to help with timing and standardisation now that we are getting so big.
We are at this stage looking at a dozen students for 1st Dan and more for black belt alone at our end of year grading. Keep an eye out for the next Proactive newsletter coming out soon with more details in it.

Our mid year ZDK grading is on this Saturday 21st at Riccarton. Doors open at 12:30pm. Grading starts at 1pm. Brown belts and over who are not grading will be required to be involved in marking.

Thanks to Shane and the guys in Wellington for putting on the ZDK camp in the weekend. It was well supported and heaps of info and guest instructors. Looking forward to the next one.

Well done to Kim and Anna who completed their 3rd Dan last night. The pressure in the room was so high you could feel it walking in. They put in a great effort. Kyoshi Steve marked the grading so they had to perform. Also this brings Kim’s teaching title to Sensei. Thank you to all the supporters who turned up last night as well.

ZDK adult students of all ranks please wear you’re uniform on Thursday night for the grading. We will have several non-ZDK spectators, so to help with room all uniformed students will be able to be on the floor during the grading. Doors open at 7:30pm

This Wednesday at 7pm we have an AGM at the Riccarton Club for Proactive Riccarton Club members.
